I believe all of you like delicious food, do you know how to write a restaurant review? Apart from adjectives like ‘Excellent’, ‘Good’ and ‘Poor’, there are still lots of vocabularies describing food taste and texture! For this year’s DSE paper 2 examination, candidates were required to write about the food, environment and service quality of a restaurant. Let’s check out some food adjectives!

The restaurant serves up mouthwatering seafood delights in a classy atmosphere.

 

  • Palatable

The snapper is at once the handsomest and most palatable of a good variety of sea fish.

 

  • scrumptious 

They make scrumptious puddings that no-one can resist.

 

  • nauseating

There are flies buzzing above the piles of dirty plates, it is so nauseating.

 

  • greasy 

Stop eating junk food! Those greasy burger and fries will make you unhealthy.

 

  • sugary

For dessert, guests can choose from a list of sugary confections, like chocolate lava cake and apple bread pudding.

 

  • tender

The meat was juicy and tender, which made up for the lack of seasoning.

 

  • mushy 

They boil the vegetables till they’re soft and mushy.
