平時返工可能間唔中遇到老細叫你取消個meeting，加上依家疫情底下，好多face-to-face嘅活動都要被迫暫緩，甚至取消。今日就同大家講下可以點樣用英文同啲客/同事講要取消/停止某樣嘢啦！
1. Scrap 取消
We are going to Australia on business, but have to scrap our plans due to the epidemic.
我們原定要到澳洲出差，卻因為疫情而不得不取消我們的計劃。
2. Call off 取消
The staff sports meet was called off owing to bad weather conditions.
員工運動會因天氣惡劣而取消了。
3. Break off 中斷
The company decides to break off a negotiation with the property developer.
公司決定中斷與房地產發展商的談判。
4. Put sth on hold 暫緩某事
I have to put the appointment with the doctor on hold as I am tied up in a meeting now.
由於我正忙於開會，無法抽身，所以不得不暫緩看醫生的預約。
5. Repeal 廢除 (法律)
Some argue that the abortion law should be repealed as it is immoral.
有些人認為墮胎法應該要被廢除，因為這是不道德的。
6. Suspend 暫時/永遠中止
The automotive business decides to suspend production at three plants in Singapore.
該汽車業務決定暫停三間新加坡工廠的生產。
