Some 同 Any 係學英文 grammar 時成日會見到嘅字，但你又知唔知點樣分辨兩者呢？我哋今日會分別講喺一般情況下兩者嘅使用，同埋3個例外情況！
一般情況下
1. Some 同 Any 都用於眾數、不可數名詞上，例如：
(Some) I have to buy some groceries this afternoon. Will you go with me?
今天下午我會去買些雜貨，你要一起去嗎？
(Any) Could you use social media pages to advertise if there are any special offers?
如果有任何特別優惠，麻煩你可以在社交媒體上放廣告嗎？
2. Some 可用於肯定句中 (affirmative sentence)
She plays some instruments like the guitar and trumpet.
她會演奏一些樂器，例如吉他和小號。
3. Any 可用於否定句 (negative sentence) 或問題句中
There isn’t any noise in the office. Everyone is focusing on their work.
辦公室裡沒有任何噪音，每個人都在專注著自己的工作。
Are there any apples left in the refrigerator?
冰箱裡還有蘋果嗎？
特殊例子
1. 問題句中用 Some：當我哋幾肯定答案會係 ‘yes’ 時；或者提出要求、提議時
Could you buy me some takeaways on your way home?
你回家時能幫我買外賣嗎？
2. 肯定句中用 Any：當出現形容負面感受嘅副詞，好似 hardly, rarely, without, never 等。
It’s impossible to buy a house without any down payment.
沒有首期是不可能購買房子的。
3. 包括單數、可數名詞的句子中用 Any：當並不在乎哪一樣東西比較好時
You can take any table you like here. I have got way too many at home.
你可以在這裡拿任何合心意的桌子，我家裡實在有太多了。
