1. Topic sentence 中心句

中心句可謂是每個段落的靈魂，非常重要，點出段落主旨，連接段落與主題的關係，亦能作爲不同段落過渡的緩衝。以下係可以用來展開中心句開始的例子：

e.g.

  • In terms of …, …
  • 按照 …， …

 

  • Regarding/ In regard to …, …
  • 關於 …， …

 

  • Apart from…, …
  • 除了…， …

 

  • Another point worth mentioning is …
  • 還有一點值得一提的是……

 

  • On the contrary, one would argue that…
  • 相反，有人會爭辯說……

 

2. Examples 例子

在段落開頭點明主題後，應提供例子以作補充證明。一下是各種提供例子的開展方式：

  • 例如…

 

  • To cite an example, …
  • 以…作爲例子，

 

  • … are the examples of …
  • …就是…的例子

 

3. Discussion 議論

接下來便可以對上面的例子和論點加以論述和延申，豐富内容。

  • 儘管如此， …

  • 對我們來說至關重要的是……

4. Small conclusion 小結

進行充分的論證後，應在每段落後加一個小總結，總括每段落的主要觀點，使文章更完滿。

  • Under this line of thinking it is evident that …
