「收線」、「轉頭覆你」用中文講十分順口；但要用英文講電話時，我們難免會一時口窒窒。學識以下可以活用於打電話嘅 phrasal verbs，下次全英語打電話都冇問題啦！
1. Pick up 接聽/拿起
Pick up 本身有「拎起」之意，而話 “pick up a call” 或 “pick up the phone” 就係接聽電話咁解。
e.g. I picked up the phone as soon as the bell rang.
我一聽到電話響就接聽了。
2. Get through 打通
“Get through” 意思係成功打通電話，與對方通話。
e.g. I tried to call you but couldn’t get through.
我試過給你打電話，但打不通。
3. Put (somebody/ the call) through 為（某人）接通（電話）/接線
如果對方需要你轉線給其他同事，你就可以話：
e.g. Please hold and I will put you through.
麻煩等等，我幫你接線給他。
4. Hold on/ Hang on 稍等/不要掛斷
“Hold on/ hang on” 都十分適合同 “put…through” 一齊使用，例如：
e.g. Please hold on. I’ll put you through to Miss Cheung.
請稍候。我會把你的電話接通至張小姐。
5. Speak up 說大聲一點
如果你身處一個十分嘈吵嘅地方而聽唔清楚對方講話內容，不妨直接話：
e.g. Could you speak up a little please? It’s very noisy here.
可以請你說大聲一點嗎？這裡很吵。
6. Get back to (somebody) 再回覆/與你聯絡
意思就係「轉頭/陣間覆你」。有內容要容後答覆的話，不妨講：
e.g. I will get back to you next week.
我下星期再與你聯絡。
7. Cut (somebody) off/ Hang up 切斷電話/掛線
以上兩個講法都表達到「Cut 線」嘅意思，亦即係「嘭」一聲放低聽筒去收線咁解。
e.g. I hate cold calls. Sometimes I simply cut telemarketers off.
我討厭陌生電話。有時候我會直接切斷電話營銷員的來電。
8. Get off (the phone) （剛剛）通完電話/收線
如果想話自己「啱啱先收線」的話，可以講：
e.g. Oh really! I just got off the phone with John!
真的嗎！我剛剛才和 John 通完電話！
